INVESTING IN SUSTAINABILITY

PROFESSIONAL ARTS BUILDING - Baltimore, MD

The Professional Arts Building, an eight story mid-rise building built in 1927 located in the heart of the historic Mount Vernon neighborhood of Baltimore, MD, underwent a historic renovation that was completed in 2009.

The building was mostly vacant for a decade before renovations began, converting
the property from an underutilized office building to 96 apartments and ground floor retail, while preserving and restoring the historic elements.

In addition, EVI invested in the opening of Milk & Honey Market as retail tenant. The marked opened to the public in 2010, bringing locally and regionally sourced foods, artisanal meats and cheeses, an espresso bar and deli to serve residents of the building and the surrounding neighborhood.

STATION NORTH TOWNHOMES - Baltimore, MD

Originally a vacant lot owned by the City of Baltimore, Somerset Development Company successfully remediated this brown-field site in record time, turning it into 32 new for-sale townhomes. EVI purchased and manages the facilites charges on each of the properties.

This beautiful development, just blocks from Baltimore's Penn Station, lies in the heart of the Station North Arts and Entertainment District of Baltimore and serves as a great example of transit-oriented and “smart growth” development in an emerging neighborhood.

These garage townhomes are a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Baltimore row house, and offer live-work and flex-space opportunities for artists and professionals. Station North Townhomes is serving as a catalyst for the revitalization of this important Baltimore neighborhood.
